MEMBER Spotlight: Winter Park Market New Location in Grand Park

Entrepreneurs Tracey Chambers and Stephanie Tuttle have taken their vision of health to a whole new level. Owners of the Winter Park Health Food Store have moved to a new more visible location.  "Oh and by the way we also sell gas", said Chambers. The new 4000 sq. ft. market has coupled with Shell gas offering a different kind of convenience store experience.  "We love our new store and the opportunity to sell fuel to get the attention of more customers", said Tuttle.

The new market opened July 24, 2009 and has been busier than ever. The Winter Park Market continues to have competitively priced items including a wide variety of gluten free, organic, natural, vegan and vegetarian groceries, in addition to vitamins and bulk herbs.  With more space, the market plans to carry more gourmet and specialty foods as well as a selection of traditional snacks and drinks while keeping items cost efficient for their customers. Owners and the friendly staff of the Winter Park Market encourage you to check out their new digs.  The Market is open 7 days a week from 6AM to 9PM with 24 hour fueling.

2009 Parade of Homes - www.grandcountyparadeofhomes.com

In the midst of the economic downturn, it was touch and go with launching the 2009 Parade of Homes.  The marketing budget was reduced by about 80% over last year. But thanks to some resourcefulness on our part and the Chamber ad agency, AOR Inc., we were able to pull off a great marketing program.  This year, we partnered with KCNC-Channel 4 in Denver, who is helping us push the event.  The following is synopsis of what they will be providing us:

We will have guaranteed sponsorships in their news programs, with :10 billboard spots. These billboards will start out with the announcer saying  "CBS 4 weather is brought to you by the Grand County Parade of Homes", then we will have :07 for our message. KCNC will produce the billboards, using our artwork. We will have 9x per week for each of the two weeks in September. The on-air billboard schedule will run as follows:

  • M-F Late News  Close Captioning Sponsorship week of 9/7 -  3 X
  • M-F Late News Weather Sponsorship week of 9/14 -  2 X
  • Saturday Late News Weather Update on 9/12 – 1 X
  • M-F Closed Captioning in 6A-7A News the week of 9/7 -  5 X
  • M-F Closed Captioning in 6A-7A News the week of 9/14 -  5 X
  • Wed-Thu Closed Captioning Sponsorship 5P-5:30P News week of 9/14 – 2 X

The remainder of the budget will be put towards impressions on the KCNC website (www.cbs4denver.com). This will include the creation of a special section on their website. It will be a page referenced on their home page with a navigation bar link. The new web page would be 100% feature content for POH. You can view the page at:

http://cbs4denver.com/grandcountyparadeofhomes

We also have other online elements – a featured advertiser wildcard position and an ROS banner ad. The featured advertiser wildcard position runs in the middle of most pages and is a text & logo feature. The details of these online elements are:
  • 100,000 ROS banner impressions to run rotating among News, Weather and Traffic.
  • 4 days of advertiser wildcard positions – each day delivering 25,000 impressions.

If you have any question about this year's Parade of Homes, please contact me at jburford@playwinterpark.com.
