I-70 Coalition Update

As ski season approaches, we all know how congested I-70 can get.  The I-70 Coalition frequently hears from citizens asking why seemingly obvious short-term solutions aren’t utilized to ease peak hour congestion on I-70.  They've researched some of the commonly asked questions.  Click Here for what they learned.

Opportunities to Expose Your Business - Passport & Lifestylez College Week
November will find the Sales Council staff - Cindy and Sara - working on several projects.

First off is the community “Passport” which will be a booklet of special offers given to the large groups visiting Winter Park Resort this ski season. It is provided to encourage guests to go forth and visit the retail, restaurant and service businesses participating and gather stamps. Upon gathering a minimum of 50% of the stamps, the guest is invited to drop the Passport off at the Visitor Center to be entered in a free vacation drawing that will be announced in April. Please call the Chamber immediately if you are interested, we need materials by November 5; space is limited and the cost is a minimal $45.

Next is the Lifestylez-promoted College Ski Week that will be hosted by the Town of Winter Park and Winter Park Ski Resort, January 5-10, 2009. There will be over 1000 students staying in town and an additional 700 students at the base properties. We encourage businesses to be ready for their arrival and schedule something fun as it’s a mid-week stay and right after the holidays. Let’s show them Winter Park knows how to have a good time! Lifestylez is also hosting additional college-based groups December 14-19 and January 10-15. Thank you to this promoter for bringing their business to Winter Park! If you would like to participate in sponsoring an event or special offer, please contact Sara or Cindy at the Chamber.

Thank you for your support!
