Have you seen any of the Home James vans around town? If you have, then you've seen the vans wrapped in the Chamber's 2008 ad campaign. We decided to do a little something different this year in the form of "outdoor" advertising, and now guests at the airport and people all along I-70 will not be able to miss the brightly colored vans sporting our "Wide Open Spaces." _________________________________________________

1% Voluntary Contribution: Helping Our Community by Cindy Harder Sales Director
This past month, we are working hard keeping the Community Sales Program flourishing. Thanks to your voluntary sales contribution, translated as the 1% surcharge, we are able to offer a dynamic sales package to potential visitors within the drive market. For lodging properties that have elected to participate, the guest receives a free night with and 2 free all-day Trestle Bike Passes to the Winter Park Resort with advance reservations on a paid two-night stay.
This postcard mailing is being complimented by an e-mail newsletter to targeted guests and will release July 7 with a “Call to Action” at Central Reservations. The offer is valid for the summer season. We recognize the travel industry may be challenging this year and focused on the in-state and near-state drive market. The goal is to get people to come up for a 3-night stay and enjoy all we have to offer in special events, retail, dining and services!
We have hosted 3 Familiarization Trips to Winter Park & The Fraser Valley this past month including Mountain Reservations, Lifestylez Promotions, and the Colorado Tourism Office with 9 International Travel Agents from France. The CTO International FAM was co-sponsored with the Grand County Colorado Tourism Board and we extend a huge thank you to be included in the opportunity.
The Sales Council is also active in supporting several of the WPVFCC Special Events such as the Italian Festival, Jazz Festival and Salute to American Veterans Rally. Funding is crucial to maintaining a vibrant event schedule for our guests and visitors to enjoy and we look forward to the summer of 2008 as new events and a new Hideaway Park unfold in front of us!
If you are not familiar with the Sales Council efforts and the voluntary contribution, please give us a call as we welcome every business to participate; it’s easy and it doesn’t cost you a dime! This dynamic voluntary program is truly unique to our Chamber and offers benefits for expanding revenue. I am happy to set up a time to meet at your business to “talk shop!" Please contact Cindy and Sara at sales@playwinterpark.com.
